Michael O'Brien training career was initiated over thirty years ago,and over this period
he has established himself, as one of Ireland's shrewdest trainers. Beechcourt Stables lies on over 70 acres
situated on the outskirts of Naas.With many big race successes in the 2004/2005 campaign including the Pierse Hurdle,
The Tote Gold Trophy and the Grade 1 Ellier Developments Chase.
Beechcourt stables is very much a family affair, With Michael O'Brien at the helm,
he is ably assisted by his son in law Denis, and his daughter Ann Marie, looks after the office end of things.
Beechcourt stables currently can facilitate up to 60 horses and continue to mix both the National Hunt
and flat with primary focus on the National Hunt.
Principal Jockeys at Beechcourt Stables:
- Tom Ryan: Tom Ryan took last years Champion Conditional Title and has made huge strides
in the racing game in the past year. Tom was lucky for us last year and will continue to be
used throughout this current campaign.
- Denis Cullen: Assistant Trainer to Michael, Denis is also the stable amateur. Denis is one
of the main cogs in this operation and continues to mix the riding with his other duties where
possible
